We made it, one year of working as a Locksmith and running my own business.

To say it's been a challenge and steep learning curve is an understatement. But if vou don't build vour own dream. someone else will hire you to help them build theirs and I'm not going back to that way of life again.

I can fully understand why so many businesses fail in their first year and hats off to all those who have given it a go. There's still a long way to go looking at the statistics below but I'm determined to succeed and Ill continue on full throttle to provide the best service possible.

There's been days when Ive felt like giving up but luckily I have the support of family, friends and worked for some amazing customers. All these have kept me going to do what I have an immense interest and passion for (as some know too well)

KEY Statistics:

Year 1: About 20-23% of businesses close.

Year 2: Failure rate increases to around 30-33%.

Year 3: Roughly 36-38% fail.

Year 5: Nearly 50% of new businesses don't survive.
